May 24, 2023- MILWAUKEE, WI (WISN.com) Mariana La Roche— The 67-year-old woman convicted of spitting on a Black 17-year-old teenager’s face during an anti-racism protest in 2020 was sentenced to 60 days in jail for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Laura Crivello sentenced Stephanie Rapkin, to 60 days at the Milwaukee County House of Correction in Franklin but offered an alternative of one-year probation and 100 hours of community service, which Rapkin rejected.

“Your honor, nobody wants me. I can’t leave my house because of the death threats. Nobody wants me to volunteer. I’ve tried for the past year just for my own mental health,” Rapkin said. “It’s not viable would rather go to jail right now and to take care of it.”…
